Sometimes the most important thing a doctor can do is act sensitively toward his or her patient. Sounds like you had a rotten doctor back then, or maybe just a guy having a rotten day. I’m glad your bad experience had a happy ending.

I’m so glad it was all ok for you – I am very aware of the dangers and seem to end up going to the doctors far too often but fortunately it seems I only suffer from enlarged glands – I know there is some other stuff that he tells me but it’s all in Italian and once he says ‘va tutto bene’ (ie everything is ok) I seem to switch off!!
