Leave me a note

If you like my website here’s your chance to say so. If you have any topic suggestions for my next blog, post them here. I promise all ideas will be considered. If you just want to rant and blow off some steam about something go ahead but be truthful, factual, intelligent and keep the language clean. Venting can be fun and it detoxifies your soul……R.S.

I like ur blog. It’s good to read not too heavy, but not too light. I will try to read more.

I am going to be changing the look of the page from time to time until I finally settle on 1 style. If there are any preferences let me know by describing the one you liked best

  3. Nightmare Before Christmas ->

I like how it went form Marilyn Manson to Danny Elfman alot and quickly, I also laughed that Danny was like “I didn’t pick those artists, please don’t blame or hurt me!”

If he did choose though, Amy Lee would have sung Sally’s song and Marilin Manson wouldn’t even be scoffed at. :) (you can obviouly tell I don’t like him)

Glad you liked it, I didn’t know if you had seen it but I thought I would take a chance. You can post your own rant here on the feedback page about whatever, anytime you want but remember it is public and anyone can see it so be sure you don’t mind. If you say something you want taken down call me and I will remove it asap. You can also still post comments about what I write the same as before by clicking comment. Have fun and check out my movie nosh link where there is a let’s dish page for posting trivia that you want to share and I know you have a lot to share. lol ♥ ♥ ♥

I really liked your article about the injuries of various stunt people including David Holmes stunt double for Daniel Radcliffe. At the bottom of the article it said something about more of the story click the link at the tope of the page? I didn’t see anythng to click on. Stunt doubles are amazing people who often don’t get the recognition they deserve. David Holmes is a very special person and it was a shame that this accident had to happen to such a beloved person.

Glad you liked it. The link is just above the picture, run your mouse over it and a snap picture should display, sorry you had trouble finding it, I think I will put it at the bottom from now on. I have a great deal of respect for stunt people, I got hooked because of Yakima Knutt and Terry Warlock, two of the greatest.

I see now why you didn’t like my comment about Madonna and her adoption ‘fetish’. The fact that most commentary on the subject uses the same phrase doesn’t, you’re right, give me the right to call her a bitch as if I knew her personally.
I’ll alter my post to call her something else, but probably no more complimentary.
Keep up the good work, even if you do like Madonna.

I wasn’t trying to get you to alter your post, I believe in free speech. I think it’s incredible that you would offer to and I thank you for considering it but it is not necessary. It’s just that I hate to see someone, even celebrities treated unfairly, not because I ‘m a big fan. You keep up the good work too.

Thanks for the lovely note 53. I’ve just posted. Had a ton going on and really want to work in things that aren’t all humorous. I started the blog as a way to record things for my boys….so hopefully I’ll keep my readers.

    Love your new “look”…very classy!

I like it. Are you self-hosted? It’s lovely… the look and the writing and everything.

    • insider53 says:

No I am not self hosted. I am a wordpress. com just like you. This is the Press Row theme with a few modifications in the stylesheet. The background is by The Background Fairy, they are free. There is a link in my blogroll. If you upgrade your custom css you can copy and paste them in. I am glad you like them. I think they are beautiful and use different ones all the time.

  8. Nish says:

I have written a short post on blog customization, and linked to your blog as an example of a beautifully designed blog…

You said:I notice you left out the word woman which I find so telling. If this was a nun who had broken her vows you wouldn’t be defending her.

First, I’m defending the person, not his sins. And you don’t know me, so can’t know, but I’d do the same for a nun or anyone else.

You said: If you want names of priestly pedophiles I can give them to you, it’s not hard they are all over the news.

Please, show me someone in the last 10 years…and there’s a difference between homosexual and pedophile. Lastly, the percentage of incidences is less within the church than it is outside it, only proving that priests are humans. Sinners. Like the rest of us.

You said: There are Ten commandments by the way listed in no particular order of importance.

Wrong. The commandment to love God is the most important. That doesn’t mean they’re not all gravely sinful.

You said: The catholic church has a hierarchy of sins and they are not all forgiven by church or God. Not my church, not my rules, but they are this priest rules and he broke them knowingly and remorselessly for 2 count them 2 years and now has the arrogance to expect no backlash.

I’d like to see this hierarchical listing. But you’re wrong. All sins are forgiveable, except one-the permanent turning away from God. Being forgiven has nothing to do with punishment.

Finally, I am not defending the priest’s actions…not. not. not. He’s wrong to take vows and then go back on them. Vows are vows.

Thank you for your comment on my “Emotions Overwhelmed” post. As a lover of words as well, words simply cannot capture the depth of some events.

  12. I love your website! Caught you message on The Motherhood and check out this site and Movie Nosh (great concept, by the way!)

    Robin,

I want to thank you for your kind words in your blogger spotlight. I am very happy you enjoy my mind wanderings. To have you recommend a post is such a compliment. So now the pressure is on! I hope someday I’ll be as good as you are. ;-)

Army Wife and Guy are off for some “alone time,” and I’m taking a break from work to be with Peanut. Hope to catch up on your posts, but for now, I must go play …

    Hi Robin,

I love your blog….I came across it while I was looking for wordpress templates and you had a comment on someones site. I will definitely be adding you to my blogroll.

I have a question though I see you have been using blogger backgrounds on your wordpress blog and they look great !! Can you tell me how you do that.

    ~Michelle~

    • mbowman7 says:

Thanks for the help. I upgraded to be able to edit my CSS. However I can’t figure it out. I am illiterate when it comes to CSS I guess I will have to do some reading up on it to figure out how to change it.

      ~Michelle~

  18. Nish says:

It’s been a long time since I visited. Love the new background on your blog. It looks so beautiful and classy :)

  19. mbowman7 says:

    Hey Robin,
Still having problems. Can you shoot me an e-mail with you full css code. I promise I wont steal it . LOL. (or just tell me which template i should start with) I just cant seem to find a template on wordpress that is working when I change the back ground. If you want to send me a message on my blog I wont post it or you can send me an e-mail to mbowman7@lycos.com.
Thanks for all your help !!! This is driving me crazy.
On another topic I love the photo booth pictures you posted of your girls today !!!

    ~Michelle~

  20. Oh my! I am so very touched. I like to take a look at what other blogs my favorite bloggers like, learn about someone/somewhere new. And as I was scanning your list I saw MY link.

You linked me! You really linked me! (said in my best Sally Fields voice)

Thank you so much. I’m such a newbie here that I’ve put off figuring out how to link others on my blog. But that ends today. You’ll be first on my list. Unless, of course, the list is alphabetical and then all I can say, is if you want to be first you’ll have to change your name.

Thanks again. You were so sweet to do that!
