Jekyll And Hyde….

K’ finished out her play a few months ago, yes I know I am behind on the news. It went great and was a lot of fun. I know everyone is sad it is over but that is the case with most plays I believe. This was truly a family effort. My son ’88 did the sound effects with the help of his dad ’73 and I did some of the props.

Now it is time to start preparing for auditions. The next show is “The Sound of Music” in May and the auditions are in January. I would like to thank the cast and crew of Jekyll and Hyde for all their hard work and for making it such a positive experience for K’ and so much fun for all the Drama Mama’s.

K’ is the one with the tassels on the right.

Friday Soapbox: Pardon My Mess….

Well I just received notice that WordPress.com has decided to retire my theme and I need to pick out a new one asap. How nice of them to make these decisions without consulting me, it is my blog after all. I like my theme and it does not need to be retired. I spent a lot of my time personalizing it and long hours and a few brain cells, not to mention the eye strain learning css so I could customize it. So, what the hell WordPress.com!

Now I have to not only find a new theme but I have to learn css for that theme too. Your really pissing me off WordPress.com and I am not the only one. I stood by you when everyone was talking about Blogger.com and it’s ease of use and compatibility with customizing, as well as all the extras that you still don’t have. Many blogs jumped ship and went to Blogger.com but not me, no I stayed loyal. So this stab in the back hurts and if I hadn’t already paid your fee for using css I would now leave too. Seriously WordPress.com, how would you feel if someone came by your home and said it was outdated and they were going to tear it down, but not to worry because now you could build a new one.

I don’t have as much time as I use to since K came to live with us so this may be a long process folks, please bear with me while I learn and experiment with css and the other themes in WordPress.com. In other words……

Ths Dramas Mama’s Take Hollywood…..

Well at least we took City Walk at Universal Studios. It was a great field trip so our kids could get together since they are not doing a show right now. It was a fun day followed by a nice dinner. The kids got to sing and entertain at the restaurant so they were in their bliss. The Mama’s were doing ok too with a little wine and cheesecake in them.

World Diabetes Day….

Today is World Diabetes Day and today at 2:00 pm I will check my blood sugar, exercise for 14 min. then retake my blood sugar and share the results on www.BigBlueTest.org. Please join me and thousands of others to raise awareness and help fight this disease.
