Trick Or Treat ’09….

Are you wondering what my grandkids dressed as for Halloween…..no…… too bad because I’m going to show you anyway. They were just too cute. Most of the kids in our neighborhood are older but they still go trick or treating. Your never too old for candy. I did notice that the costumes this year were very thin, by that I mean not many details to them. There was also a lot of re-cycling of last years costumes, like with my grandkids. They didn’t seem to care though and still had a good time.  Hey! free candy. If the bad economy has had this effect on Halloween what will it do to Christmas. Better off not thinking about that for now.

Going to a bar-b-que today for my son in-law Mike’s birthday. He and ’80 don’t have kids yet but they have plenty of time for that. In the meantime enjoy the cuteness that is B and K. Oh geez I hope something blog worthy happens at the party today. Is it bad of me to hope that, a little obsessive or more likely obnoxious I imagine. Do any of you do that, look at everything as an opportunity for blog material.

B as Jack S

Arrr! I’m Captain Jack Sparrow. Wouldn’t you give him extra candy.

K as a fairy

K’s best “Top Model” pose

B and K halloween 09Okay he’s a little short for a pirate, but she is a little tall for a fairy so it’s all good.

Jack Sparrow is GREAT!!! And yes, I do tend to look at potential blogging opportunities – but I think that’s ok – it gets us really looking at things that happen in our lives instead of them just drifting past us un-noticied!!

    They look great!
And no, it’s not obnoxious or obsessive to wish for something to write on the blog. I’m always looking at a way to blog every day life so I can have a good laugh.

That is the cutest Jack Sparrow I have ever seen! and a beautiful fairy………
My one grandaughter is down with the swine flu, but her sister went out trick or treating and shared all of her candy.
Thank you for your concern, I am fine……just busy and lazy!!!

The economy did effect trick or treating. I would say that 80% of the homes were dark in our neighborhood and my mother in laws too. If people did hand out candy, it was such a small amount that all the teenagers who don’t wear costumes got it, or worst of all those kids who hop into mom and dads car instead of walking. Those parent that cannot get out of the car with their kids and walk the neighborhood….. They seem to get to all the candy first. I have never seen so many,”no more candy” signs taped to front doors in my entire life. My kids definately worked for the very small amount of candy that they got.

  6. I would totally give that Jack Sparrow extra booty! And that’s a pretty fairy, there.

I totally analyze everything now through the lens of “is this a possible blog post?” It’s weird how that happens…
