I have been trying to think of something I could do for earth day with the least effort on my part but would still have a large impact on my footprint. I am considering giving up Ziplock bags if I can find an alternative that works well. We use them for everything and they are not good for the planet. Plastic bags do not bio-degrade and the land fills are full of them. What to do, what to do, think, think, think. I’ll have to get back to you. What are you doing for earth day this year?

I gave up plastic baggies last year. I ordered a bunch of stuff from reusablebags.com. I love all of our sandwich and snack bags!
This year I decided I would try to give up or at least cut down on my paper towel use. I’ll let you know how it goes…

I didn’t do anything. I missed the whole day. I meant to do some crafts with recycled materials with the boys, but between feeding, naps and cleaning toys, we never did anything.
As for an earth day resolution, I’m trying to convience my husband to give up water bottles. It’s so annoying.
