We all try to do it because we know the importance of it. This is no exception all though it is deception at it’s best. I know you have all seen trains go by with hundreds of cargo containers stacked on them. Guess what! they have a new use for them. The house you see below is made out of 4 of these containers. This is such an interesting way to recycle I think. What do you do to shrink your footprint on the earth?

B’s walk down the aisle was not planned until the morning of the wedding. This was a year ago and he is barely 4. We thought he wouldn’t want to do it. Then he got a look at the flower girl, grabbed her hand and off he went. He sat next to her the whole wedding with a big goofy grin on his face. She on the other hand was not to sure about this “boy”.
A little over a year ago my daughter ’79 got married. My son ’88 thought and thought about what he could give her as a present. He didn’t have any money so he decided to give her something from the heart. He talked his sister ’80 and her husband Mike, as well as their Uncle into playing her favorite song from the 1980’s at the wedding. This was a secret of course and ’79 knew nothing about it until the introduction started. A few friends pitched in to round out the band and “voila” we are suddenly doing our own version of the Von Trappe family from “Sound of Music”. “88 is so nervous he had the lyrics on paper and his hands shook so badly you can see it on the video. He is a bass player and is always in the background, this was his first vocal performance. The song is “Take on Me” by A-ha.
This was taken by a friend and the quality is not very good so don’t judge! It only took a year for ’73 to put it together in a format I could use, which for him is fast. He is still working on the videos of ’80’s wedding from 3 years ago, again don’t judge. So here is ’88 on vocals, ’80 on trombone, Mike and J. on trumpet, T. on drums, and Uncle Marty on keyboard……do we know how to have a good time or what!

When I had kids the one thing I was determined to do as a Mom more than anything else was to instill a love of music in them. I am so glad I did. Everyone in this family, except me, plays at least one instrument. It has enriched their lives beyond anything I could have hoped for. So be forewarned if you invite us to your party we may just break out in song because after all, we’re a band and I’m the roadie/manager.

Which is a problem because I need words to say thank you and to tell her I am so happy she likes my blog. Okay. take. a. big. breath. and settle down. There that is better. Go see Kathryn. Now I am suppose to pass it on to 5 bloody brilliant worthy bloggers. This has been a struggle because I think your all brilliant . I know you have all recieved many other awards and are probably sick of them by now but too bad. I have decided on Faemom because she always cracks me up. CK who writes a good story and has often made me shed a tear. To Jane because even when I go out on a limb (zombie humor) she gets it. To The Kitchen Witch who not only shares her stories but gives you a darn good recipe to go with it plus she knows where the grenades are hidden and I might need one. Finally to ymk because we polite girls need to stick together and teach each other to be rude to obnoxious people. These are the blogs that make me laugh and cry and still I come back for more. Well there it is, now go read these ladies blogs because they are all bloody brilliant. It was truly hard to pick only five.
