The Silver Lining…

Sometimes life can get you so far down you can’t even remember what up feels like. Then it happens, everything changes on a dime and it all starts with a smile. You hear a funny story and for whatever reason you connect with it and the story makes you smile and then you begin to chuckle, which turns into laughter, the more you think about it the more you laugh. You share the story with others and the laughter gets stronger with each telling, until your tearing up from laughing so hard. Before you know it you feel better. Your problems didn’t go away but you have a better perspective about them and that’s your silver lining, which all started with a smile.

I would like to thank Faemom for sharing her story about Evan and the pirates. It was unexpected and I didn’t know how much I needed it, until I began to smile. Now if I could just get that song outta my head.

This is my Grandson B. who loves pirates too. He and Evan have that in common which is why I connected to her story. Yo! Ho! Arr!

There’s nothing like a good butt pirate to get you smiling :)

I’m glad you found the silver lining and your load was lightened for a bit. And I hope whatever it weighing you down gets off your back already!!

Thanks. He’s super cute. Hopefully he’ll grow into the facial hair.
Though, what’s up with the eye patch? :-)

I love when that happens. It’s like everything is suddenly light and sweet and peaceful. And you almost wonder why it felt so heavy to begin with.

    PS: Your grandson is adorable.

He was so excited about getting his face painted! We were at Disneyland for his birthday and of course went with pirate face…and immediately after, we rode Pirates of the Carribbean so “he could show Capt’n Jack Sparrow!
