See my new background, it is called Green Damask. I get my backgrounds from The Background Fairy and I love them. She recently made this one but in a 2 column with a scroll frame. These frames can sometimes obscure the words because they are made for blogger not wordpress blogs. The 3 column backgrounds without the frames work great on wordpress so I left a comment on her website and she listened and took the time to redesign it, how great is that. She says she doesn’t know why they work for wordpress and I know of no other blogger design that does. I am just happy they do because wordpress is sadly lacking in this department. Check out her website if you need a background, they are free and she has many beautiful vintage designs, you have seen only a few of them here. Her websites are The Background Fairy for free backgrounds and for free vintage clip art The Graphics Fairy.
UPDATE: I changed it again, it is my perogative and it is just so easy to do. The new one is whatever I want it to be today. I am sure I will change it again and again. Still love Green Damask and Lavender Laurels the best.
Oh, it’s lovely! Nice choice, Robin!
(WordPress has got many lovely features but themes and of course, my personal addiction, self-updating blogrolls are not among them. Don’t really understand why unless it’s that they want people to upgrade to .org in order to use wonderful themes–and pay?)
It looks great! One of these days, I’ll have to check up on this, when I finally catch up with all the blog reading and all.
I think Ink has discovered the conspiracy.
I think Ink has discovered it too.
These are really great backgrounds, and how sweet was she to customize them for you!
And I love your profile pic over to the right! Now I have a face to associate with the blog… make me happy : )
Hi Robin,
I’m so glad you are pleased with the background, it looks great! Thank you so much for posting about my blog, that’s so kind of you!! I’m so grateful to you for letting me know that this size works on WordPress, I think you are the first one to figure that out.
Karen
It’s nice and vintagey… though it does look like the tablecloth.
Nah! I like them and they are easy to change so things don’t get dull.
It looks great!
