No that is not the name of the latest video game. It is the name of my son ’88’s band. He plays a 6 string bass guitar in 2 different bands, Handicapped Astronaut and Sins of Dorzia. Recently the band (Sins of Dorsza) played at the Whiskey A Go-Go on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. It really took me back to when I was a teenager and I would go to the Whiskey to hear bands like Santana, Janice Joplin, The Doors and other great artists, it was the ’60’s after all and Sunset Blvd. was the place to be. It just happened to be my backyard so to speak at this time, ’67-’71. Now my son is playing there on the same stage and I want him to be impressed with its history. It was where legends were born for gosh sakes, a dirty, grubby little hole of a place, but legendary. Anyway, kudos to the band which has a sort of rock punk sound. You have stood where legends stood. You have played where legends played. Now be impressed and be legendary.
The Doors. I had such a crush on Jim Morrison.
The Mothers of Invention with Frank Zappa.

Enjoy! And all the best to the budding rocker!
You must be so proud! He truly has stood in the spot of legends, you are so correct. What an accomplishment. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it :)
wow how neat. Have a great day. I just want to say thanks for stopping by the other day when Yaya was posting for me…
That is super cool.
Cool!
PS Thank you for visiting my guest post at Amy’s!
That’s awesome!
Wow. You’re a part of rock history!!!
My dreams were to go to Whiskey a go go (back in “the” years)! To be able to see those performers……….wow!
And to watch your son on the same stage……….incredible!
Zelzee: It is so funny to me that when it was happening they weren’t legends, they were just the music I liked. It cost about 5 to 10 dollars to get in and we went all the time. They also showed up just to jam.
Ink: They were rock history, I was just lucky to be there.
FYI, I was also 13 to 17 years old when I did this. Times have changed so much since then. I looked older and they didn’t card.
That is so awesome. It must have been surreal to witness that. I can only imagine how proud you must be.
I am proud of him for both bands and his DJ aspirations as well.
That is so awesome! Love the pics, new and old.
