What Book Are You….

This post was inspired by Inktopia. She took the quiz and posted it on her blog. You can go there to see what book she was or take the quiz and see what book you are. It was fun.

Holy Cow!  “The Mist of Avalon” seriously

You’re The Mists of Avalon! by Marion Zimmer Bradley

You’re obsessed with Camelot in all its forms, from Arthurian legend to the Kennedy administration. Your favorite movie from childhood was “The Sword in the Stone”. But more than tales of wizardry and Cuban missiles, you’ve focused on women. You know that they truly hold all the power. You always wished you could meet Jackie Kennedy.

I loved this book and Marion Zimmer Bradley has been a long time favorite author. However, my favorite movie from childhood was not “Sword in the Stone”. My favorite movies were “Hercules Unchained” with Steve Reeves because….well…. look at him, and “The Big Circus” with Gilbert Roland who walked away with my 4-year-old heart as he walked across Niagara Falls on a wire (thanks to Hollywood magic). I also never wanted to meet Jackie Kennedy because having grown up in Fort Worth I had been instilled with the guilt every Texan felt in the 1960’s at the death of the President. Now I do think women are empowered and I love the legend of King Arthur and the knights of the round table. But obsessed is too strong a word as I only ride my horse and carry a sword every other Tuesday (doesn’t everyone). This reminded me of “Fahrenheit 451” whose ending posed the question “what book would you be”.

You know I do read you from my phone. I just can’t comment or it would take all day. So I try to stop in and say hi and comment. And I was The Poisonwood Bible. I guess I should get around to reading that . . . .
