K goes to a high school that is located on a college campus. She takes classes in both and will graduate with her high school diploma and her 2 year degree in college at the same time. I tell you this because today they were handing out free samples of an energy drink at the college and K thought it might be nice to try one since she never had before. What she discovered was, that energy drinks are not her friend. Many of the kids tried them and apparently they were laughing and talking fast all day. Some complained of their heart racing. I know we have all had the talk with our kids about “don’t do drugs” and “just say no” but do we now have to add energy drinks to the list. The college can’t tell the difference between the high school and the college age kids in this situation so they take no responsibility for giving them out. K says she will not be doing that anymore, which is a very good thing. What seemed like a good idea at the time and appeared quite harmless but wasn’t, is actually a lesson learned.

Well, that’s a new one, and something to be wary of in future, who’d have believed it, I hope K hasn’t had any after effects.
Well, at least she learned her lesson. For now. I wonder what all the high caffiene drinks are doing to people. I’m afraid to find out.
well I react the same way to any stimulant like caffeine….Coffee is not my friend too. After a little research these drinks are extremely bad for you. Glad K is done with them. I have a friend who drinks four or five a day. He even made a video saying good by to the drink because he new he had grown dependent on them. It is hilarious! go see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMSu69J8EKE
