Music Legend Michael Jackson Dies At 50…

many years ago when the Jackson family came to California I met them during those first few days before the fame of the Jackson 5. I babysat for the two youngest Jackson’s on 2 occasions. I just thought they were a nice family and that is how I choose to remember Michael Jackson, a nice boy with a nice family. The king of pop is gone and we will miss his talent and wonder what he might still have created, but he has left us his legacy of music and dancing, 2 pearls beyond compare. Memories of Mother…

My Mother’s name was Mary and like her name she lived a plain and uneventful life without thunder, her birth however was another story. She was born in 1927 in a tent city in Bowlegs Oklahoma during a smallpox epidemic. She was born into extreme poverty and was premature at 4½ lbs. My grandmother had been caring for her sisters and their children who had smallpox. Continue reading
