Long nights begin with these words because it is never quiet that simple, I wish it were then maybe my head wouldn’t spin like a Linda Blair wanna be when I hear them. Word Press is a great host with plenty of ways to get help (shout out! to the forum people, you are great) but searching them out takes so long for me (because of the computer illiteracy thing) that by the time I take a break my body feels like it”s been on a death march through the Sahara desert, parched and weak. I never seem to “get” how to do it right away so when I look up and realize I have been sitting at my computer screen for 4 hours trying to figure out why I can’t PASTE A HYPERTEXT… CODE INTO… MY PAGE TO GET AN  “ADD ME” BUTTON …..wait… calm down… take a breath…..it’s all good. I’m beginning to think I’m a little obsessive about this blog. Well I hope you enjoy the convenience of the buttons and show your appreciation of all the time it cost me, not to mention the lack of moisture, by using them (notice I said them, there are 3 yea me! go robin!). I need some water….

Hi! my name is Chuck

This is Chuck and he belongs to me. I know they are a silly and useless waste of your time, but they’re fun!  Lord knows there is not enough fun in our daily lives; just watch the news and it will suck the fun right out of your day. With all the drama going on in a world that seems to be spinning more and more out of control, it is nice to be able to control one tiny part of it, even if it is silly. ™ Slide Inc. has created a virtual world where I can earn coins (that make a pleasant ka-ching noise) and buy things to my hearts content while playing with cute little Chuck. You can either purchase gold which supports the program or use the  free coins (I use the free coins) There are forums and friends to play with by the thousands and how much time you spend playing with your pet and rearranging his world is up to you. You can send him to foreign lands, dress him in funny hats or have a day at the beach simply by changing his habitat. This is a cool way to de-stress when you’ve had a hard day. For now you can find your pet on facebook, myspace, or itunes. So for all of my fellow control freaks grab a virtual pet and relax, it’s all under control………… your control.       mu-wa-ha ha ha!

House votes to recoup bonuses from bailed-out firms | Reuters.

“The whole idea that they should be rewarded millions of dollars is repugnant to everything that decent people believe in,” said Representative Charlie Rangel, the Democratic chairman of the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee.

Finally there is a little justice in the world and it is called a 90% tax on bailout bonuses; but it still doesn’t excuse the Government for giving billions of dollars in bailout money to companies like AIG without keeping some control over how that money is spent. Everyone is suffering and cutting back to economize, but these companies actually seem surprised that the tax payers are refusing to pay for their luxuries, like bonuses………..What the hell is wrong with these people!

California town to spray-paint lawn bald spots….

I was so shocked by this article on the Associated Press news site,  I was almost speechless. I’m sure the good people of Perris, California could think of a better way to spend $2 million dollars than on painting the lawns green. Who is the mayor, the Queen of hearts from Alice in Wonderland. Maybe they could use the money to save a few teachers jobs or to improve the lives of a few senior citizens in their community on fixed incomes instead of painting the roses red.

California town to spray-paint lawn bald spots

PERRIS, Calif. (AP) — A town is going green to
combat foreclosure blight: A contractor has been hired to spray-paint
lawn bald spots. Perris spokesman Joe Vargo said contractor Dave
Milligan uses an environmentally friendly dye that lasts up to six
months and is harmless to people and pets. The city hopes the
foreclosed properties are purchased and occupied before the lawn needs
a touchup.

It costs about $550 to spray-paint
a lawn. The city, some 70 miles southeast of Los Angeles, has set aside
$2 million in an effort to stabilize foreclosure-fraught neighborhoods.
